Metro police spokesman Wayne Minnaar has told the media that PigSpotter is to be arrested and charged with "obstructing or defeating justice". Ok, so now the metro fuzz are hunting for Cliff the PigSpotter. Of course, one would have to wonder why the Poh-lease are going after Cliff when similar services have been around for quite some time... one such service, known as "Road Angel" - google it on google.co.za - is delivered via a GPS system and alerts you when you near a speed camera.

It is rather ironic though that the hunted are now becoming the hunters... And in a more ironic twist the piggies are actually giving the PigSpotter more publicity: yesterday Cliff had less than 7000 followers on the twitterverse, but by the time of this writing, the numbers had jumped to 10142... Not bad cherry-toppers, next time I want some publicity and marketing I'll definitely give you guys a call...

As for the PigSpotter, I feel that we need people like him around. The metro bobbies have long gotten away with hiding to away to trap unsuspecting motorists in the name of greed. We've all seen them hiding in bushes, behind bill boards, even in dirt bins and portable johns... the list goes on and on. It's about time someone takes them on.

Big up PigSpotter.... and if things don't work out and you do manage to maintain your anonymity, I heard Top Gear is looking for a new Stig...
