A few days ago a story made worldwide headlines that I thought would be a great subject for a cartoon. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on which side of the fence you're on) some tastier stories surfaced that I just couldn't resist doing toons on. Pastor Martin Ssempa, a self-proclaimed anti-gay tried to drum up support for proposed Ugandan legislation that would see homosexuals face the death penalty. The homophobe told the BBC in an interview:

In Africa, what you do in your bedroom affects our clan, it affects our tribe, it affects our nation

Homophobic sentiment is not unique to Uganda, in fact African leaders frequently communicate their intolerance of homosexuality.
